In 1994, Ryan fell while climbing in Ogden Canyon, UT and broke his sacrum. Just a few months latter that same year, Ryan was in a serious car accident that forced him into a medically induced coma for six days. During Ryan's stay in the hospital and for several months after, he was doing physical, occupational, speech and psychological therapies with minimal success. Desperate for relief, Ryan had his first massage session and knew he had a calling.
In 2001 Ryan met a certified Rolf practitioner and decided to gift Rolf a try. All other forms of therapy had provided minimal relief from the long-lasting effects of his accidents in 1994. Rolf work presented life changing effects. After completing his first ten series, the chronic headache he had been dealing with for seven years had completely disappeared! It was then that Ryan knew he was destined to be a Rolf practitioner.
Ryan received his massage therapy education, training and certification at the Utah College of Massage Therapy in Salt Lake City, UT in 1996.
Ryan has been practicing the Rolf method of Structural Integration since 2011. He went to school at the Guild of Structural Integration in Boulder, CO.
Ryan is also a certified yoga teacher!
